Everyone should try a fast at least once in their life. It is especially important in this day and age and I will tell you why. There is a good reason for this . In this day and age, we are exposing our bodies to toxins everywhere; from the food we eat to the air we breathe to the stuff we absorb on our bodies like deodorant and perfume. Why You Should Fast
The problem with eating is that when food enters our body, the amount of resources it has to devote to processing it takes away from other functions such as filtering and immunity . Anything that the liver and kidneys can’t filter out gets pumped into the bloodstream and eventually ends up in our fat. Inflammation is another problem that comes with eating. As we eat, the digestion process creates inflammation throughout the body which may turn into a problem over the long term.
A fast will give your body time to play catch up; inflammation caused by the food we eat can be effectively handled by our immune system and our liver and kidneys can literally filter more toxins out of our body without having to process more. . Your Immune system works better as well, cleaning up points of inflammation.
Basically, by juice fasting, you are able to cut off the constant influx of toxins so the body can deal with the toxins already stored in the body. In some cases, a longer fast can actually take care of the toxins in fat stores as they are released as energy.
3 day fast or 7 day fast…which is better?
Given the fact that most of us have a 9-5 job, trying to go on a lengthy fast could prove to be tough. If this is you, the best option would be to go on a short 3 day fast While this won’t completely eliminate an influx, it will limit the load of the digestion process and you will feel better after all is said and done.
A longer fast, such as a seven day fast, can help your body purge itself of the pesticides and other toxins stored in the fat. The difference between a 3 day fast and a 7 day fast all boils down to how deep your body has to go into fast stores. The fat is released into the system along with the toxins. The liver and kidneys process it and eliminate it.
Cleansing and fasting is perhaps the quickest way to actually feel less tired and run down. For those short on time, a short 3-day juice fast isn’t too hard. For those who want to really reverse the damage, they can choose to fast for seven days.
