First workout after a 2 month hiatus. I’m here training with Lee Davy NSCA-CPT and owner of the Dynamic Conditioning Center (DCC) in Toronto Ontario. I love dropping in on Lee when I’m feeling like experimenting with new ideas and unconventional exercises and workouts.

I start off with a core stabilization exercise on two balls. If you want to incorporate that into your own workouts try putting either your hands/elbows on the ball or put your hands on the ground and have your feet on the ball to challenge you.

Then we did the barbell toss…Like i said when I want to break out of an exercise rut I like to hook up with Lee. I’m not a conventional trainer with my own clients and I like to surround myself with innovators who get results. Barbell toss? DONT TRY THIS AT HOME :)

Yes the barbell toss is dangerous if you’re untrained but for an advanced exerciser with experience and sufficienct gains in their fat loss or weight training workout system and good hand eye its a breeze. THEN I moved to a threw point row with a bit of mobility to increase the level of difficulty. The sled was moving all over the place but I’ve since perfected how to do this and actually do a great mobility drill with this and plyometric push ups using bands. I’ll post when I’ve got some time.

Next was the alligator walk where I’m dragging my feet in the plate ..great for core as well as upper body strength and the final two are walking kettlebell swings and push ups. We did the whole circut training routine a few times through and that was it. Hope you can take some of these more advanced moves into your own workouts

    Nice video. These are really cool innovative techniques that I can’t wait to try. Barbell Toss looks intense. Something I’ll try sometime down the line (with a trainer, of course).
